Remotion: make repeatable videos from code, or let an agent write it
A framework for building videos in React code, free for individuals and companies of up to 3 people, with official skills for coding agents [1][3].
- Does
- Templated, repeatable videos built from code
- Best for
- Explainer, tutorial and data-video creators; agent-made motion graphics
- Cost
- Free for individuals and companies of up to 3; others need a Company License, $25 a month per seat on Remotion for Creators (as seen 2 Nov 2026) [1][2]
- Runs
- Locally; optional server, AWS Lambda or GitHub Actions rendering
Each video is a React composition: animation, layout, text, media and audio are code [3]. Preview in Remotion Studio, render from the Studio or command line [12][10]. With the Agent Skills (for Claude Code, Codex, Kimi Code or Cursor) [3] or Claude Code plugin [11], you describe the video and the agent writes the code.
