Transcribes on your computer and sends subtitles to your editor's timeline. Models (Whisper, Parakeet, Moonshine, SenseVoice, Canary, Cohere, GigaAM, Omni-ASR) download as needed from the in-app Model Manager [2].

Requirements and setup

  • Resolve from blackmagicdesign.com, not the Mac App Store [2].
  • Premiere Pro and After Effects: the bundled CEP extension loads while AutoSubs runs [2].
  • RAM: about 1 GB for Whisper tiny, up to about 10 GB for large-v3 [2].

Licence, cost and privacy

  • Models run on your device; nothing goes to the cloud [2].
  • The MMS word-timing weights are CC BY-NC 4.0, and compliance is your responsibility [2]. Check before monetised or sponsored use.

Limitations

  • MMS word timings rely on uroman romanisation; other scripts may get poor or missing timings [2].
  • Supported editor versions are not listed.
  • Accuracy ratings are AutoSubs' own 1 to 4 scale [2], not tested by VloggingPro.

Resolve: Workspace, Scripts, AutoSubs, select the timeline, click Transcribe, edit speakers and text, send back [2]. Standalone: pick a file and model, click Transcribe, export SRT [2].
